I can relate. I had that with my first car, 06 Chevy Cobalt... Had a turbo charger kit just sitting there same with new coils and shocks but never installed bc of reoccurring issues. So upset that Puerto Rico did not have a lemon law.

Sold it all and bought my first jeep. 95 XJ :-) and i lived happily ever after... Now on my 7th jeep. Ill keep this one for a while unless that wrangler pick up really eats my mind

Re: Wk2....how many miles on yours, and what problems???

I've had 2015 summit since new in Sept 14 that just had its 30000km service done. If it wasn't for my awesome local dealer being able to fix my issues the first time I probably would be ditching it by now.

- headlight replaced had the purple passenger side LED problem
- the replacement headlamp was a different paint inside the headlight (best way to describe was original had a silverish interior paint and the replacement was gold tinged). My dealer ended up saying the drivers side was broke as well and ended up replacing that side with a new one instead of trying to figure out batch #s to replace the passenger side a 2nd time
- my rear tail light came from factory slightly off, had them fix that
- had my entire back window replaced due to one of the defrost strips not working from factory
- insane brake noise with low pressure at 5-10km an hour. There was a recall on the calliper pins if I remember correctly. It still did it after slightly but I'm hoping this 30km brake job fixed it
- and the most annoying of all is the sunroof roof rattle. The damn thing drove me nuts trying to figure out what it was. It did it over every bump on the shitty GTA roads. I tracked it down finally - I could put my finger in the sunshade track and apply pressure up and down and it would rattle. With the last service they took down my entire headliner and tightened the bolts in the roof. I've been sick since I picked it up on Friday and haven't really had a chance to see if that did totally fix it
- the bug deflector jeep sells is shit. It cuts into your paint on the hood you would think they could come up with a better pad then slotted plastic laying on the paint (when I noticed it I got pissed off enough to wrap the entire front in paint protection)
-Eco mode was gutless, had them do the tsb to eliminate the takeoff lag

Overall I do still love my Jeep but this has been an incredible disappointment to have all these things come up in the first year and a half. Especially after paying 62k plus tax as a 28 year old it's obviously a large purchase for me. The dealer I raved about is further away then 2 shitty ones so it's an hour each way for me to get this stuff fixed - which usually 2 trips...one to assess the issue and the other to rectify it a week later once the part comes in.

You make an awesome looking product Jeep, but get your quality control shit together

Re: Wk2....how many miles on yours, and what problems???

2011 Overland 5.7L with ORAII. 87K miles since Sept 2010.

Major issues so far
- replaced air compressor under warranty in 2011
- multiple visits for leaking A/C refrigerant in 2015
- replaced front axle under warranty in 2015
- replaced shocks a couple of times already (most likely my fault due to off roading)

If it's anything like my 2000 WJ with 250K miles so far, I'll be a happy camper.

Re: Wk2....how many miles on yours, and what problems???

Greetings,

As I just turned over at 73K which is 70 percent highway driving, she is still running excellent. The only problem I have had was around 22k when the ball bearings went on the front passage side. Other than thank, nothing to report.

As a first time Jeep owner, I am very delighted in owning this vehicle and when the time comes, as of now, I will be sticking with another Jeep.

Best for now.

53k miles. 3.6L,

dealer replaced PS lines, and blower fan and other TSBs, fan is noisy again. I think they just oiled it or something. The PS rack has now begun to leak. I replaced a steering wheel radio button myself.

Overall it's been o.k. Luckier than some,

Re: Wk2....how many miles on yours, and what problems???

78k on my 08 3.7. Have only owned since its had 66k. I have had to replace battery. It has broke down one time on interstate. Thought it was electronic throttle but all the dealer did was changed sparkplugs(basically tune up) and has been fine since then. Pretty happy with it so far. This is my first jeep and strongly considering a leftover 2015 or 2016. Just trying to decide which I would dislike more, the electronic shifter or the start/stop.

2014 JGC Summit, picked it up used at 38kMI, currently sitting at 56K. Running very well, just doing the normal TSBs when things come up. Nothing major, like it a lot. 5.7L.

Re: Wk2....how many miles on yours, and what problems???

2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit with the Hemi, just rolled 94,000 miles, lots of highway driving. So far it's been VERY reliable, no major issues, a few recalls, maintenance and a center diff issue at about 92,000 miles taken care of under the powertrain warranty! I'm so happy with mine, I JUST ordered a 2016 SRT Night Edition! Hoping the SRT is as reliable as the Overland Summit.
