True but then again, you will have a car that you know the history. Who ever buys my Lincoln is going to have so major engine problems down the road like I had but since its damn near out of the powertrain warranty, they wouldn't know it until they have to pay for it them self.

Then its that little thing on the front bummer that was never reported to the police so a car fax report wouldn't have shown that there is damage to the front end and that a guy at the bodyshop rigged the bumper to say on right

Re: WK2-in person...should I?

Possibly, if Fiat can resurrect the company! I would imagine that the depreciation will be right up there with any past Jeep, so expect about $10k the first year. If I didn't want one so badly, I too would wait for an off-lease purchase and let someone else take the hit. I plan to drive this one for about the same as my present WJ, so I'll amortorize the depreciation over a very long period.

Agreed.

Anyone lease a 2011 yet? I'm curious as to where the initial residual values are being set.

If I had the money, I'd get one also while keeping your current WK now.

I heard residuals of 48% from one sales guy, but the numbers were staggering - 12K/year I was quoted $660/month for a Limited w/Hemi, and $735/month for a Overland/Hemi. I'd rather lease as it's a business expense for me, but I think I'm going to have to wait. Every dealer I've asked have all said to wait a few months til all the 2010's are gone and then the numbers should be better. Though I doubt they'll ever get as low as they were before the crash/recession/bailout/whatever.

Is that with or without any upfront money?

Re: WK2-in person...should I?

I didn't get very specific on any of the numbers, but I did say I didn't want to spend more than $4K out of pocket up front, including taxes...they all said if I put more down, the monthly would be better.

Yeah, thanks. Got it.

I don't know if this pertains to you. Chrysler is currently offering $1500 towards any Grand Cherokee trade in, or lease return.
