I have the jumper cables in there along with a blanket and first aid kit and that is it so far. Definitely going to be picking up more soon.

All this making extra noise in trunk, I would never take this with me unless I go some expedition away of home for weeks.

I carry heavy duty jumper cables, emergency blanket (the silver ones), matches, emergency kit, a portable GPS, baseball and gloves, a roll of toilet paper (you never know), paper towels.

Funny you should say that. I didn't have my GC for more than a day when I went to get some suits altered and there was a guy and a woman in the parking lot stuck in their truck. He turned out to be the best man at a wedding and his truck wouldn't start. I just ran home, got my jumper cables and he was on his way. He was more impressed with the HEMI than I was at the time.

Yeah, i certainly could come up with situations to use them, but haven't had to, so they've been left behind. I haven't had the battery die on a car that i own in ages.

left bucket:
1) Adventure Medical Kit - small first aid kit, personally modified with some trauma blow out gear.
2) OEM land rover wheel chocks out of an old Discovery I had.
3) assorted Bungee Cords.
4) oil funnel, in ziplock bag to keep car clean.

right bucket:
1) yet to be installed front license plate bracket
2) 2 emergency ponchos and a big lighter
3) small box containing extra automotive fuses
4) 3 light sticks

back left:
1) 1qt Mobil 1 oil
2) space/emergency blanket

back right:
1) 1qt Mobil 1 oil
2) 17" highway warning triangle
3) "EzyFlare" LED warning triangle. I took this from work when the manufacturer did a product demo. Works okay, but never used in the "wild".

on top of spare tire:
1) Thomas Guide California state road atlas - retired from daily use, but nice to have.
2) 2 Orion 15 minute flares. I would prefer 30 minute's, but they don't fit as well.
3) cheap 'auto zone' screw driver - has several bits in the handle. (blue handle)
4) generic brand work gloves (sitting just outside spare tire)
5) generic brand red shop towel.
6) there is a dial style tire gauge hiding under the road atlas.

elsewhere in vehicle:
1) surefire LED flashlight
2) spare CR123's in surefire spares carrier.
3) assorted other gear.

HAHAH, of course you carry all this stuff...you were a LR owner!! You needed all this stuff just to get it down the road!

Ask me how I know...lmao

Re: WK2 Junk in the trunk: version 2.0 - interior storage compatments

Mine is mostly stuff for hauling a travel trailer (left rear has the clip on mirrors, trailer also has a rear view camera). Only real issue with a TrailManor is that when rigged for travel, nothing inside is accessible. Note that the left side of the jack foam is designed for a hitch bar and ball. Yellow balls are on magnetic stems to make one person hitching easy. I set one on the ball itself and when it falls off I stop. Far left carpeted bin is for electronic stuff.

When looking for other space there is a lot: the bucket under the driver's seat and quite a bit under the rear seat (where I keep maps and flat flexible stuff like a tarp).

For tools I carry one of these.

what do you mean bucket under driver's seat? there's nothing there in my car...

Also, the hitch I have doesn't fit the slot in the styrofoam. what IS there is the factory gas funnel that is supposed to be used for filling up the fuel tank.

If I could find a place to store my 3 2' long soft plastic door ding protectors, and my California Car Duster I would...but they won't fit anywhere hidden so they are there on top of the trunkmat. Next to my skate board (because SoCal).

In my trunk bins I keep a bottle of meguires quick detailer, some towels, and my trailer hitch. Also going to put some jumper cables in there and maybe an emergency first aid kit because you guys gave me some good ideas. Dunno if I need the tools or duct tape as this bad boy doesn't go off road
