I "installed" the same one. The JGC on the DVD manual has this badge in this location so I figure the designers intended it to be there. It was probably eliminated by the bean counters....
I guess I will be the downer here but Iam glad they omitted the Hemi badge from this beautiful and refined vehicle.the HEMI badge is...dare I say...a bit *******.. (ducks a runs from angry ********)
LOL... But some of us might happen to be ********, good ole boys, or just old fashioned gear heads! I personally like badges, and if placed correctly with seams or creases they can add to the "art work". Ouch, did I say Art work! To me the totally de-badged rig brings back memories of the re-painted or repaired rigs that lost or didn't replace their badges.
To really blow the de-badgers, I'm pondering placing on sides too!
But I like to change things too... I'll take the 4x4 & Overland and move them to the right side and install new badges on the left side. That makes'em look for an extra second. It's all a personal taste and they all look great clean & shinny!
Looks Great! I too had a hard time deciding. I ordered all 3 flavors of Hemi & 5.7 emblems, went to local dealership (after hours) and taped them on and photographed while experimenting with different placements & emblems.
IMO, the Stone White (light colors) looks much better and more of a fit for Emblems than the darker colors. Emblems on darker colors need to be minimal or not chrome so they don't overly draw the eyes. Emblems on the Stone White looks like a finished product! Again, I'm Pro-Badger Urrg Urrg!
My 2005 GC had the 4x4 on the left and the 5.7L with LIMITED underneath on the right. I'm thinking the 2011 Overland Summit badge should have been on the right instead of underneath the 4x4 on the right...
Oddly, I'm thinking about adding the 5.7L Hemi to the right and removing the Jeep from the front hood nose.
^^^ I think it had to do with the image of not being a gas guzzler / eco green...they put the in my opinion UGLY green flex fuel badge on the V6's.....
I have decided to use the "5.7L Hemi" emblem.
I have 3 "HEMI" emblems... NEW, Unused... tape strip new & perfect condition.
Style is the narrow emblem that is Chrome w Black Letters as shown in this thread. http://www.justforjeeps.com/hemibadgedecal.html
If any one looking for this one, ... I'll sell them $7.50 each plus Shipping.

Just ordered the combo badges too.... 1 "5.7L" and 1 "HEMI" which I think balances the look.....the "4x4" on upper left and "5.7L" on upper right (both same chrome large font) with "Overland Summit" badge on lower left and "HEMI" badge lower right. I think that balances the look.... Then the only question is whether to leave the JEEP on the hood or not...right now leaning toward leaving it....
Should Look Great Dan! Glad to see the emblems being applied!
I ordered several different 5.7L, Hemi & Single Emblem combo's.
The 5.7L & HEMI combo looks good... I was really wanting to locate a HEMI in the same Font, Size & solid Chrome... thought that would look awesome!
I'd leave the "Jeep"... personally I like it, and the Icon it's associated.
I'm going with the single piece "HEMI 5.7Liter" emblem for now.
Fun of Emblems, quick & easy to change and play!
Think I'm gonna go with this combo. The 5.7L in all chrome mirrors the 4x4 on the left, while the Black and Chrome HEMI kind of matches the Overland badge.
I think it'll balance out the back perfectly!!
If yer looking for the "HEMI" emblem component of that combo set... I've got 2 left as mentioned in earlier post. Brand spankin shinny New @ $7.50e +Shipping.
The 4x4 and 5.7L matching font is what decided it for me. The HEMI was exactly what I wanted but after looking at the Overland/Overland Summit Badge, it made perfect sense (even though the color of the Overland Summit badge is a think a dark brown on chrome versus the black on chrome on the HEMI (I would have preferred black on chrome for the Overland Summit badge since I have a black Summit...oh well).
