Re: WK2 - Late availability features schedule

I think my plan is going to be go drive the V6 make sure 100 percent that is the one I want and then purchase/order a V6 overland with the tow package on it in silver. I will have to wait until the Quadra Lift and the Garmin are both available as those are both items I want.

If you order a Limited model early on, the MyGIG without nav will be what is offered as Standard (model RBZ which replaced REN). The only way to get navigation is to order the RER for $750.00.

The Garmin system that will be initially offered Standard (available in August) is the new mid-line nav radio (model RHB, Media Center 430N). A higher end Garmin nav radio will be offered later this year that will replace the current "RER" radio (RHR Media Center 730N).

Another advantage to waiting is that they are going to switch over the power steering on the Pentastar V6 from belt driven to electric .

I'm sure they are going to come up with something, either patch their differences with Hughs or come up with an alternative system...

Milous: I placed an order for an overland today and noticed the Garmin is now default, and there is an optional upgrade. Did this change the price of the car? Is the other nav system worth the upgrade?

Also quadra drive 2 did not appear to be a stand alone option, but you marked it available on your late availability thread will it be included with the Overland?

Thanks!

Quadra-Lift Air Suspension is standard on the Overland 4x4. The 430N Garmin navigation radio is now standard on the Overland. The premium nav radio (RER) is optional. Hard to choose between the two as they have some different features. I just updated the nav info on the WK2 site (http://www.wk2jeeps.com/wk2_navigation.htm) it shows some of the feature differences.

Pricing on the Overland 4x4 has been increased by $790 MSRP, this is to reflect availability of the Air Suspension and the radio change.

Re: WK2 - Late availability features schedule

Hmmmm.....I placed an order for a 4x4 Overland back on July 2. I spoke with the dealer today, and it's apparently in the "tentative schedule" stage as described here:

http://wk2jeeps.com/wk2_vin.htm#TRACK

I originally planned on having the 730 radio, but not the Quadra-Lift (not really a necessity in light of my likely usage, despite how exceedingly cool it is), but now I'm not certain what it will include. I'm also wondering whether I'd still be able to add the Quadra-Lift as an option, and if I did, whether that would require swapping out the radio as well. Would appreciate any insight anyone could offer. Thanks!

I think your dealer didnt put your order in right away. I placed my order for my limited on July 5th and within 5 days had a VIN and a scheduled ship date (August 2nd) sounds like you need to go have a chat with the dealer!

Re: WK2 - Late availability features schedule

That is interesting. My dealer is telling me that no Overlands will be built until at least middle of August... I don't have a VIN yet, but they are hoping it is delivered no later then late September....

I am losing my lease so I certainly hope it comes quicker.

Maybe Milous knows.

Quite possible, though they gave me the VON within a few days. I figured that wouldn't be assigned unless it actually had been ordered.

Re: WK2 - Late availability features schedule

OK, now this is getting weird. I must admit, as great as the new Grand Cherokee is, I am *really* disappointed that Jeep/Chrysler can't seem to figure out which end is up on the most expensive variant.

I ordered an Overland on the 10th, and although I have a VON, I don't have a VIN yet. I currently have absolutely no idea whether it will show up with the Quadra-Lift or not or which nav it will have installed. When I ordered it, I expected both the Quadra-Lift and the RER uConnect nav. Now, I can't say that I'm planning to off-road the thing, but the lack of the Quadra-Lift makes me worry about eventual resale values (oddball collections of features are likely to get the shaft on values, I'd think) if every other Overland out there has it. Either nav would suit me fine- the full uConnect suite sounds good, but I'd personally rather have the Garmin nav over the Harmon (I trust Garmin more than probably anybody else).

I think I may have to go by my dealer and try to get this all straightened out.

ETA: According to the Jeep site, the Overland 4x4 still has the Quadra-Lift AND the RER (Media Center 730) nav. I know Milous has been right on the ball with the info, but this just has me scratching my head.
