WK2 Leads Satisfaction Survey, Fifth Year in Row

From off-road.com: Jeep Reports Grand Cherokee Leads Segment in Satisfaction Survey | Off-Road.com Blog

Quote:
Jeep announced recently that the “most awarded SUV ever” in its Grand Cherokee ranks highest among Mid-Size SUVs for the fifth consecutive year in AutoPacific’s Vehicle Satisfaction Awards (VSAs).

Jeep explains that the VSAs are based on the responses of more than 66,000 owners of new 2015 model year vehicles. The survey objectively measures owner satisfaction through 50 separate attributes ranging from interior comfort and convenience to fuel economy and performance.

“In many cases, an extremely satisfying vehicle is not the car or truck that has the best absolute build quality or the best safety rating,” said George Peterson, president of AutoPacific. “VSAs look at the big picture, which includes owners’ experiences with their vehicle’s quality and safety, but also goes deeper into the heart of the ownership experience.”

Woo-hoo! Love this rig!

WK2 Leads Satisfaction Survey, Fifth Year in Row

I was gonna say.... after the 10 months of hell I went through with my 2014 and the entire "replacement" process this survey had better have been about the 2015's.

A contradiction: satisfaction despite unreliability.

But at least we are not as blind as Range Rover owners.

Maybe it's about more than just you.

Surveys are funny. Nobody trusts Clinton, but they want to vote for her.

It is 5 years in a row the WK2 has won this.

Strategic Vision contacted me for two surveys on my 2015 which I filled out and I gave jeep excellent grades, if this Jeep is as good as my 02WJ, which i still own, it will prove the long term quality and durability is still there.

My new one has been excellent and exceeded my expectations, Jeep has really upped their game.

Well, I have a 2013 JGC Overland V8, not a 2015 and I absolutely love it… except for the wonky navigation program.

Cool. This is my first Jeep and despite my P20EE fix challenges that I've shared on this board, my wife (the co-pilot) and I really like this rig. And that's despite it being in the shop now for a warranty fix for the FCW radar being wonky. I am the driver & navigator & trip planner, while she rides in her luxury chariot and naps from time to time.

I see so many GCs out on the road, WKs, WJs and the old ZJs are out there, running around.

Re: WK2 Leads Satisfaction Survey, Fifth Year in Row

None of em are perfect, the WK2 has so much electronics and the QL I opted for the Lifetime warranty.

I rust proofed it and have/will change fluids and filters.

Preventative maintenance is the key to long term reliability.

In my 02 WJ, only things I have had to replace out of warranty on my dime are the two Infinity Dash tweeters, 1 rear brake caliper frozen. The rest has been a couple set of plugs, coolant, oil, gear oil, trans fluid and filters and t-case fluid changes plus some air filters and cabin air filters, 1 set of tires and 1 brake job with rotors and pads and 1 serpentine belt.

Re: WK2 Leads Satisfaction Survey, Fifth Year in Row

I just gotta say - I FRIGGIN' LOVE my 2014 Ecodiesel!

Coming from Toyotas and Subarus and Hondas I was SOOO worried about reliability. After 16,000 miles those worries were unfounded.

I love the ride, I love the interior, I love the off road/snow ability, I love the gas mileage and torque.

In fact I and my wife loved it so much we replaced her car with a Jeep (Cherokee) too!! We are now a 2 Jeep family because of my experience with the JGC when we never even looked at the brand before.

Did I mention I love this thing? Second favorite car ever, only taking a back seat to my 400 HP 1992 Mitsu Eclipse GSX.

And I should point out that one of the things that convinced me to take the chance was the odd satisfaction level even when there were issues. On this site I saw a few people have major problems with the early 14's...so when Jeep bought theirs back, what did they do? Bought ANOTHER one!!

Over a year later, SO glad I rolled the dice. Lovin' every minute of Jeep ownership so far! (had to add the "so far" qualifier!!)

Sounds promising - how many miles on that '02 WJ?

Not an entirely valid argument. FCA may have bought back their Jeep on condition that they buy another FCA/ Jeep vehicle.
