WK2 Model Comparison Chart

I just spent a few minutes doing a little comparison of my own using the data provided on the Jeep website.
I highlighted some of the good features of high-end models, something worth thinking about if you want to get most of the Jeep.
Anyway, I hope it makes deciding easier...

Re: WK2 Model Comparison Chart

Oh wow, I looked everywhere for one, and I could not find it, so i decided do one myself.
It doesn't look like they had Laredo X or 70th Anniversary on there.
But their list is a bit more comprehensive, ad they seem to have listed individual components of the packages.

Re: WK2 Model Comparison Chart

One thing every list and build site gets wrong that I've seen, is that a Laredo X with a V8 gets Quadra-trac II, select-trac, and Hill decent. Most only list it if you add the Weather group package, or an off road package.

Not sre why the 8 gets it, but the 6 doesn't.

Re: WK2 Model Comparison Chart

Pricing Comparison with an expected Trade-In Value of $7500 to $9000 and with approximately $3500 to $4500 down payment.

You can disregard the monthly payment estimates as I was just doing my own calculation, and you may just focus on packaged prices of different lines, for example Limited with few Overland options vs Overland with same thing standard...etc

Jeep Grand Cherokee - 70th w/Chrome, w/430Nav - $39,940 - $9,000+3,500 @ 1.9 = $480
Jeep Grand Cherokee - 70th w/Chrome, w/430Nav - $39,940 - $9,000+3,500 @ 39 MO Lease = $242

Jeep Grand Cherokee - Limited w/730N - $40,510 - $7,500+4,000 @ 3.9 = $533
Jeep Grand Cherokee - Limited w/730N - $40,510 - $7,500+4,000 @ 39 MO Lease = $286
Jeep Grand Cherokee - Limited w/730N, w/Luxury Package inc Liftgate - $42,000 - $7,500+4,000 @ 3.9 = $556
Jeep Grand Cherokee - Limited w/730N, w/Luxury Package inc Liftgate - $42,000 - $7,500+4,000 @ 39 MO Lease = $303
Jeep Grand Cherokee - Limited w/730N, w/Luxury Package inc Liftgate + Blind Spot+ - $43,250 - $7,500+4,000 @ 3.9 = $578
Jeep Grand Cherokee - Limited w/730N, w/Luxury Package inc Liftgate + Blind Spot+ - $43,250 - $7,500+4,000 @ 39 MO Lease = $319

Jeep Grand Cherokee - Overland w/730n - $43,150 - $7,500 + 4,300 @ 3.9 = $576
Jeep Grand Cherokee - Overland w/730n - $43,150 - $7,500 + 4,300 @ 39 MO Lease = $337
Jeep Grand Cherokee - Overland w/730n, w/Blind Spot+ - $44,450 - $7,500 + 4,300 @ 3.9 = $600
Jeep Grand Cherokee - Overland w/730n, w/Blind Spot+ - $44,450 - $7,500 + 4,300 @ 39 MO Lease = Approx $350

Jeep Grand Cherokee - Summit - $46,750 - $7,500 + 5,000 @ 3.9 = $636
Jeep Grand Cherokee - Summit - $46,750 - $7,500 + 5,000 @ 39 MO Lease = $417

Re: WK2 Model Comparison Chart

Comparison to BMW / MB:

Mercedes - ML350 - Base 4Matic - $49,865
Mercedes - ML350 - LED Lights Package- $51,203
Mercedes - ML350 - Navigation + Camera + Premium + LED Lights Package - $55,150
Mercedes - ML350 - Premium 1+2+ LED Lights Package- $56,900

BMW X5 - Base Package - xDrive - $47,200
BMW X5 - Base + Heated Seats + Blackberry Dock + Perforated Fancy Looking Running Boards - $49,180
BMW X5 - Base + Navigation + Blackberry Dock - $50,112
BMW X5 - Base + Navigation + Heated Seats + Blackberry Dock + Perforated Fancy Looking Running Boards - $51,080
BMW X5 - Premium + Technology + Convenience - $60,875

This means, near fully loaded WK2 = Base model of ML or X5.
*X5 does not have low-range.

I am also looking at Dodge Durango, but there are way too many options/packages of Durango, and I am not planning to chart it out myself.

WK2jeeps list is wrong as I was saying, should have

Hill Descent Control (Laredo X)
Quadra-Trac II 4WD System (Laredo X)
Selec-Terrain System (Laredo X)

added to section above at the least.

Plus its really hard to compare in that format.

Thanks for bringing this up. The WK2Jeeps info has been corrected, it has also been wrong in some of Jeep's documents and Jeep is making the corrections in the 2012 documents.

It depends on what exactly you are trying to compare. There are so many features, options, packages, variants that it can be quite challenging to lay out a single list that is ideal. Not to mention the constant changes and corrections coming from Jeep throughout the model year.
