Not trying to hi-jack the thread, but is Nancy's Pizza still on the corner of 59 and Irving Park?

Maybe they make batteries different for hot climates.

Diehard makes a northern battery and a southern battery. The northern has emphasis on cold cranking power and the southern on heat stability or thats what they say anyway.

Exide once made a "Heat Beater", or some such nonsense. It had yellow and orange flames on the sides. Same deal, 2 Summers and it was a core.

In regard to the moose test. Jeep did find that it was overloaded and the magazine was unable to replicate the results with Jeep engineers attending.

Re: WK2 - New battery type and location

I have an Optima M400 charger that has settings for an OPTIMA AGM starting battery then another setting for other flooded and non Optima AGM batteries. Any idea which setting is safest for the Jeep AGM battery?

It appears that Optima and a few others are slightly different than other brand AGMs and they have a different charging profile.

Which is best when I put the Jeep on a charger?Marine Battery Charger | Motorcycle Battery Charger | OPTIMABATTERIES

When it says non optima it means standard lead acid batteries.
Use the optima AGM for your battery

Rotts4u, this is the charger I use and is easily one of the most popular worldwide! It is also on sale right now for $39.99 at Costco.

Re: WK2 - New battery type and location

I have a "Battery Tender Junior" I bought to keep a lead acid car battery charged for one of those 12 volt, battery powered electric clay target throwers. I like that you can just hook it up and forget it.
