Same here, I am very pleased with it so far. Only 800 miles on the odo. The driver seat could be deeper. I'm 6,4, so just have to get use to it.

So Im writing this after having been a Jeep owner since 2006. My first was a WK Limited ('07) and quite frankly Im kind of sad I traded it in for my WK2 Overland. For the record Ive got a '14 Hemi which is pretty great but at the end of the day its dragged down by such simple fixes. I was chatting with a high school bud of mine who also started with a WK ('08) has a '13 overland and we agreed the drivers seat is shit, the fact that neither of us have adjustable pedals is shit and the sound system is crap (minus the surround additions). I also miss the glass opening on the hitch. Does anyone else think its weird these are issues at all? Im going to sound like a brat if I keep going but frankly Im just really disappointed, especially so because newer generations have always surpassed the last ones...let alone trims. I worked my ass off to afford a newer jeep because I could tell my old one was going and i'm starting to consider getting rid of mine despite there not being very many adequate alternatives on the market. I'd likely be better off restoring a Wagoneer...Respond if you'd like. Sorry for the vent.

I got this last week. Simple fix!

Re: WK2 Qualms

I'm actually on my 3rd Grand Cherokee, having owned a WJ and WK previously. The interesting thing for me, as I think back when I purchased my 08 Limited, is that I never had any regrets when moving from my 04 to the 08.

I can't say the same about my 14 Limited. There is plenty to love - the styling, the 8-speed auto, how it pulls my camper (significant improvement over my 08, and both have/had the Hemi), the technology, etc.

I didn't think I would, but man I miss the flipper glass! I can live with the so-so audio (my 08 was much better). I haven't seen too many discussions here (maybe I haven't looked hard enough), but the lack of the front limited slip differential is one of the things that I miss the most. My 08 would drive circles around my 14 in the snow and mud. Maybe I haven't gotten used to the electronic intervention in the 14 yet, but having all 4 tires slinging mud sure felt better than the darn brakes kicking in up front and bogging down the motor.

Would I take my 08 back in place of my 14. Heck no. Kind of wish I would have held on to my 08 though and kept it for my offroad toy!
