He can be pretty brutal when a vehicle falls short of the mark. When I read that review the first time and saw how he jacked to the '11 JGC, I got even more excited about it.

Re: WK2 versus Ford Explorer

Was just looking at some of the pictures posted by dealer inventory. The outside is decent since they took a lot of queues from land rover, but the inside is absolutely horrible. There is so much black plastic it has no contrast or depth to stimulate the eyes.

Just look how unfinished it is. I can't believe people buy this ford crap.

Re: WK2 versus Ford Explorer

First impressions can deceive, and with the chrome blade grille it seemed as if this dog couldn't hunt.

But after seeing various photos of the Limited in burgundy with color-matched painted grille, gotta admit it looks pretty decent outside. Apparently lots of elbow and head room, too.

Inside visuals? No Overland, that's fer sure!

You do recall the interior "quality" of the WK, right?

Absolutely right. There are rumours about a future Lincoln "Aviator" based on the Explorer - that might get the ugraded interior improvements like better leather or a leather-dash. However, you can probably add an additional $10K to the price.

Yes I do, but Jeep fixed it in the new version....this is ford's new model and it should been on par by now. No offense to any that have them, but the interior was the main reason I never bought a WK, it was a reck.
