I like the ebrake up on the center console. It has been there since the beginning.

Re: 2011 WK: Garmin navigation

I'll be brutally honest here, having the E-Brake foot operated is the WORST decision they could make.
It's terrible, no way around it. Terrible

Re: 2011 WK: Garmin navigation

proper off road vehicles have a hand operated e-brake.

I just cannot fathom why anyone would want a foot operated parking brake. They're just not as easy to use, AND, it introduces something else to bash your legs/knees against in a serious accident.

Re: 2011 WK: Garmin navigation

No I totally agree, mate.. I don't like foot brakes at all.. ESPECIALLY with a manual transmission...

This must be a byproduct of the Chrysler/Garmin marriage: http://www.chryslernews.com/chrysler...nded-warranty/

edit - FAIL .. I just looked at the date of the article.

Re: 2011 WK: Garmin navigation

Garmin rules and if you know how to use the foot brake right it is amazing...don't know what you guys hate about it but if you push it in a click or two then push it again it is totally a push brake....

Remember, the WK is NOT a "proper" off road vehicle. Yes it does have the air suspension option to appeal to those who would like the "off-roading" idea, or the rich yuppie who wants it to seem cool. However, any off-roading enthusiast will say Wrangler, 100%. The JGC, Especially the WK2, is far from being an ideal off-road vehicle.

Re: WKII Foot operated E-brake discussion

It's not a mini-van either. No one can tell me a foot operated park brake is good. Because they're not.
Thankfully I very Very rarely use it on auto gearbox vehicles, in fact I only use when parked on steep inclines

Re: WKII Foot operated E-brake discussion

^^

I think in the 5 years i've been driving, i've used the e-brake once. and that was to test whether or not it would actually stop me sitting in neutral.

beyond that, i dont use it.
