I also think a fulltime 4X4 helps in the Western WA rains. Try and cross the 520 bridge while pouring down rain. With puddles everywhere, traction is king.

..but I would imagine a 4X2 would seem more zippy
Yeah wasnt really looking for one but got it at a really good deal so I went for it, wasnt too worried about rain ive driven here long enough to be ok with rain driving unlike 85% of the state...if I took my r1 in the rain the jeep will be no problem, but yeah now Im just stuck on the what if I would of gotten a 4x4 lol

Back to my first point, I agree with all of you, I would and am getting a 4x4. However I do not believe the 2WD is a world ending apocalypse the way some of you make it out to be.
Thanks man I appreciate the kind words, I eill see how this first winter goes and make my decision hopefully I dont slide out too much up in the mountains ill carry chains just in case

Keep your jeep, learn your lesson, and view this as an opportunity to learn how to preserver and learn how to drive a rwd jeep in snow like the old guys did when they were young.

I wish most of my mistakes when I was younger were so small.
Thanks man, yeah took a long time to get the deal I got and definitely pissed off alot of dealers and salesmen, must mean I did my job right, lol, thanks I will, seems like a real solid vehicle been doing better than my other car in the rain so far and cant wait to take it up to the snow with some winter tires and see how it holds

Over the years, I have only had one RWD car. I had to buy sand bags to put over each wheel for traction during the winter. I'm guessing that this would also be a good idea for the Jeep. In addition, if you plan to drive in ski country a lot, then you might want to consider investing in either a set of winter tires or a set of all-terrain tires with a snowflake symbol (I went with Hancock DynaPro ATM RF10 tires).
Thanks man ill look into those, want to get a second set of rims a nice pair and use these stock to put some snow tires on them

4x4 would be easier of course, but i agree it is not the end of the world. If you care enough to join a forum, and discuss it, then you are probably someone that cares enough to learn how to drive.

Now, if a couple of my friends asked my opinion i would tell them to buy something with the most amount of airbags in it, as no amount of 4x4 can help them.
Doesn't really snow a lot where I live maybe 1or 2 inches one or 2 days a year but people freak out because they can barely drive in the rain...yeah I enjoy driving alot dont really view it as just get to point a to b type of thing...would really like to rally but dont have enough money to wad up a car..haha..but ill keep on driving and learning

I think that is a really minor adjustment so hopefully OK.

From reading your snow fall report etc. I would say you will be pretty good with Snows
