Would you get your bumper resprayed at Maaco?

Body shops in northern NJ are really expensive. So I thought about trying Maaco since I only need the front bumper resprayed. Any experience?

Re: Would you get your bumper resprayed at Maaco?

Maaco shops are franchised. Many have good paint systems ... as well as the Maaco. When I was an adjuster and the Maaco shop would hand me an estimate for $1000 + for paint I'd point at the sign that said $189 for an entire car. He'd say, if you think that will satisfy your customer. We'd laugh and agree on the $1000. And that wouldn't be for an entire car.

Maaco paint is great to spruce up a car that has outlived all expectations and still starts every morning.

I wouldn't let Maaco paint my garbage can.

Re: Would you get your bumper resprayed at Maaco?

Just got a quote from a shop with good reviews, $1500 for bumper and hood. $500 bumper only. I'll pass... Next time I buy a new car I'll make sure I get it wrapped.
