Re: Would you go with Granite or Black for overland?
I went with Black for my Overland, which I picked up as part of the DC Area Group Buy back in May. Koons had similarly configured Overlands available that week in Granite and in Black Forest Green.
When I started my search (back in 2012) for a new '14 JGC, I figured I would look at every color EXCEPT black. In the end, however, I found I loved the sparkle pearl coat that adds an interesting dimension to this year's black finish---it's not a boring black at all, IMO.
Full disclosure: as a longtime Jeep owner I actually don't want my JGC to look pristine clean all the time. It's a Jeep, not a Mercedes! It takes me safely to places of mud, snow, ice and dust. And back. So, I have not been bothered at all by the black finish showing evidence of where this Jeep has been. Other Jeep owners may feel differently, I know, about this, so to each their own.
