I agree with this, and in your situation what I would be more pissed off about is the crooked dash panel door.

Leather is a natural product, and has little stretches like that from time to time in different weather situations, etc. I've had many cars, any typically every car has some little pucker like this somewhere. Even expensive leather furniture will have one panel gathered in a slightly different way, etc...

So I'd leave the seat, but insist on the panel door being repaired.

I created a similar dent in my back seat with a child safety seat. I got it out by warming the area with a hair dryer and massaging the foam through the leather. The foam expanded and stretched the leather back after a few minutes. Might be wirth a try.

Re: Would you make the dealer replace the seat?

GoHerd,

I had this exact problem in my 2012 Summit. You can somewhat easily unclip the leather cover from underneath the front and both sides of the seat, and partially roll back the leather to view the problem area.

On the ventilated seats, there is a thin Tyvek-type pad filled with plastic mesh that sits atop the normal foam seat cushion. This allows air to circulate, even with body weight pushing against the cushion. What happened in my case (and likely yours) is that the pad is not lying flat or it migrated out of position during assembly. I was able to straighten and smooth this pad and re-clip the seat cover fasteners in a total of about 20 minutes.

Sorry, but I didn't think to take pictures at the time. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Mike

Thanks for the tip! That may be the case as this was not apparent on the non vented seats. It's definitely not a leather issue - it's beneath the leather and feels like a void in the foam.
