Wtf!?? Remote horns and lights.

Oh my god. I was messing with the uconnect app today and I wanted to try out the remote horns and lights feature. BAD IDEA. How the hell do you make it STOP? It was ridiculous. I'm sure my neighbors loved getting woken up to my huge ass new truck. Ugh.

Re: Wtf!?? Remote horns and lights.

LOL.. I did this yesterday afternoon, so not exactly as bad.. and it was in my garage. Caused a stir, but you just have to hit the panic button on your remote to make it stop. Its finding the remote under stress that is the fun part.

The panic button was the only one I didn't press. I didn't want to make things worse. I actually did make it worse by tapping the button in the app a second time hoping that would cancel the first. Nope. About 1 minute after it stopped, it started again. Not even starting the car and actually driving made it stop. Seems like a bad design.

Re: Wtf!?? Remote horns and lights.

I did the same thing when I tested the website controls. I thought it would just sound the horn and flash the lights, but did it catch me off guard and had me in a panic to shut it off. I had a similar situation the first night I had the car home. Dealer said it didn't have an alarm and I had it parked in the garage at night, My wife locked the doors but left the window down and I needed to get the carseat in the back, so I reached in through the window and opened the passenger door, Scared the shit out of me and I had to run around the house to find out where the keys were to stop it. Woke up my wife and daughter at 10 pm and who knows how many neighbors.
