Nope...it was the canbus ballasts. Not stupid. It was.from 2015.

Fyi-creating another id after being banned....is another ban offense.

just to get this thread back on track...

Got some pics of the 9012 XenonDepot HID kit (5000k) installed w/ PWM HID module in a 2015 Cherokee - no errors. I will continue to update this thread with the vehicles that are using the kit so that people can see the applications it's being used in.

Re: >>XenonDepot Needs your 2015+ WK2 without HID lights

I have your extreme kit and only the left headlight gets a flicker. It did it on the canbus adapters that came with the kit and also the 'anti flicker' module

CANBUS Anti-Flicker Module (pair) - HID Accessories - HID Lighting - All Products

It is turning on more reliably now but still have a flicker after driving for a while, only noticeable when the lights are shined on a wall. Will this fix it? If so I'm a buyer. I haven't used relays at all, everything is direct wired.

Re: >>XenonDepot Needs your 2015+ WK2 without HID lights

I installed the new Xenon Depot PWM modules in my '14 GC Limited today. Originally installed their XtremeDigital HID kit in 8/13; had to use a relay harness for power and also canbus fixes inline during that initial installation. Today I removed the relay harness and canbus units and only installed the PWMs - it works great with DRLs off! DRLs apparently draw a little less voltage than when the headlights are switched to on; this causes flickering when the headlight switch is in any position other than "on". By simply turning off DRLs in the UConnect settings, however, that fixed the problem and allows full function of the "Auto" headlight setting as well. I might at some point try re-installing the canbus fixes to see if that eliminates the flickering with DRLs enabled, but for now I'm good and like knowing all that extra wiring and components are out of my vehicle!

Referenced old outdated product line / info. May 2015 is when that post was made on that forum about some old kit they offered. The plus kit that is mopar universal did not even exist until October 2015. Get the facts straight. Below is the dated product release post. Not trying to be an ass why wouldn't you want the correct info out there though? People should have the right to know what's what.

I'm glad xenon depot finally seems to have worked out a solution for their kits, the more options the better.

Guys!

We've recently come out with a new component that makes upgrading to HID literally plug+play. No relay harnesses, no resistors, no capacitors - simple plug+play. XenonDepot's all-new PWM module makes installing an HID kit on 2014+ Mopar vehicles plug+play!

We've tested this component on the following vehicles:

2014 Jeep Cherokee
2015 Jeep Cherokee
2016 Jeep Cherokee
2016 Ram 1500
2016 Chrysler 300c

As you can see... we're missing a WK2!!

We're looking for a forum member with a 2015+ (2015 or 2016) Jeep Grand Cherokee without the factory HID lights that is looking to upgrade the lights on his/her vehicle to HID with an HID kit.

We will send you a FREE XenonDepot HID Kit - in exchange for a detailed DIY guide.

Notes:

- You most likely need to remove the inner fender well or front bumper to install an HID Kit on the WK2

- You will need to drill a hole in the dust cover on the back of the headlight to run the wire that goes from the HID bulb to the ballast.

- Installation will be plug+play. Literally: Car Harness ==> PWM Module

- You've got previous DIY posting experience

Installation is literally this easy - Car Harness ==> PWM Module ==> Ballast ==> HID bulb - that's it!

I'm sure there are going to be some questions....

(1) If you've already purchased a XenonDepot HID kit (Xtreme HID kit), then all you would need to do is get the XenonDepot PWM Module; You do NOT need to purchase a new kit.

(2) We cannot confirm that this product will work with any other HID ballasts or kits, nor is it intended to be used with another HID kit. This product is designed to work with the XenonDepot XTREME HID kit

In short: Plug+Play, no relay harness, no resistors, no polarity to worry about, just a simple plug+play installation.

If interested, please send me a PM with a link to a previous DIY that you've done.

First come, first serve.

Thank you for your interest!

Steve

Are you still looking for testers for your kit? I recently bought a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude in white. And looking to get out of my halogens for either HID or LED.

Did anyone get the HID's working? I've been to two different shops and neither one can figure out why the lights turn off when the cars in drive. Need help... would love to get the lights installed.

I am testing a set for xenondepot on a 15 charger. They are.working perfect. I think they have.solved it. But give it a couple weeks for testing.

Re: >>XenonDepot Needs your 2015+ WK2 without HID lights

Can anyone confirm if the pwm module will work if the DRLs are kept on? I currently have the older setup w/ relays and canbus modules and they function perfectly with the DRLs on.
