Re: Yet another leasing question. Seeking advice on numbers, etc.

If you go to the Jeep website and price and build your Jeep it will give you lease and purchase numbers. You can adjust the down payment to bring the cap cost down to the 43,095 you were quoted ($6185). With 10,000 miles a year the lease is only $467 before taxes.

Was the rate quoted after pulling your credit report?

Good question, but my credit report was not pulled-at least as far as I know. Should not be an issue. I have a rather high credit score putting me in the highest tier.

Re: Yet another leasing question. Seeking advice on numbers, etc.

I understand and am glad that it shouldn't affect you, but was just thinking it could be a factor, as it were... I'm thinking that your dealer is working hard to build some extra profit into the deal and there may be room to sweeten things. Maybe not down to that super low rate another member mentioned, but at least a little better than it is now.

Do you have another dealer or three that you could get competitive lease rates from?

I'll be checking with another dealer or two shortly. Still unbelievably torn between another BMW and a Jeep. I'm even thinking of saying "screw it" and get a cheap Subaru. Probably would but for the lack of HID lights.

Always loved the 5 series, but damn they are fussy. I like the Jeep, but can I really drive a SUV every day? I got used to 0-60 in 4.7 with 28 mpg highway and AWD. Then again, my 335xi can't carry anything and runs in fear from dirt roads, curbs and water!

Would you be willing to share the details, i.e MSRP, cap cost, residual, money factor and company used, etc?

Yours sounds like a great deal. If I add in another $100 for the overland its still way, way less--and with MUCH less out of pocket!

Thanks!

Sure. I can post again this evening when I look at my paperwork. As far as I can remember, the lease company is Hann Financial. I don't know the money factor as I didn't bother negotiating that since I was presented with a really good deal up front. It's not even in my paperwork. I went at the end of the month which helps since they want to rid of their inventory. I wouldn't put more than $1000 out of pocket. I ended up with $1200 OOP since some of that went towards title/reg.

Did you get the chance to find your numbers? Might be heading to a few dealers this weekend. Thanks!

Sorry for the delay.

Here are my numbers:

MSRP $40,580
Gross Capitlized Cost of vehicle $41,316.80
Capitalized cost reduction $5,726.50 (includes $4,750 in rebates plus $976.50 cash down)
Residual value $22,724.80

The money factor is not listed (wasn't expecting it to be). Hope this helps.

Let me know if you need other numbers.

Thank you--Not sure if I missed something, though as th Overland w/ Tech package is about 49K. Didn't think 9K separated the two models.

Curious, though--the Limited had an MSRP of "only" $40,580 as equipped? How did the Cap Cost (or sales price had you bought it) become more than MSRP at $41,316.80? Taxes likely factor in somehow. Using your numbers the Residual of $22,724 appears to be about 56%.

Where did the rebates come from? $4750 in rebates seems very, very good!

Sounds like a good deal. but even a 9K higher vehicle should be around $500 per month at $1K down, well less than what they were quoting me. Gotta do more digging. Thanks again!
