Curious, though--the Limited had an MSRP of "only" $40,580 as equipped? How did the Cap Cost (or sales price had you bought it) become more than MSRP at $41,316.80? Taxes likely factor in somehow. Using your numbers the Residual of $22,724 appears to be about 56%.

Where did the rebates come from? $4750 in rebates seems very, very good!

Sounds like a good deal. but even a 9K higher vehicle should be around $500 per month at $1K down, well less than what they were quoting me. Gotta do more digging. Thanks again!
The salesman said there were $3750 in rebates/incentives and I had the $1000 cash back rebate I had received in the mail.

I'll have to look at my contract again to figure out the cap cost. One thing I didn't mention is that my 2011 Laredo return lease was well below the 36k miles. I returned it with 24k miles. So the salesman said I had some equity in the Jeep....$1500-$2000. I think that also helped as well. On top of that they paid my last two lease payments as I returned it two months early. So I suppose I had a few things in my favor. I'm paying exactly the same amount for my leased 2014 Limited that I was paying for the leased 2011 Laredo E. $399.86. So I was either paying too much for the 2011 Laredo or I got a smok'n deal on the 2014 Limited. Most likely the latter.

Interesting.....Can't say I've ever heard of "equity" in a lease return. or rebates of that magnitude. Sounds like they really wanted your business. I don't mind going to $500/month on an overland, but at $560-$580 I'm damn near at a 535xi.

You can have equity in a lease return if the dealer buys the car from the leasing company for a really low price then credits you with the trade-in value and then, more than likely, they'll sell it on their used lot at retail. Both parties profit.

What he said ^^. I was surprised when he came back with that much in rebates/incentives.

That is indeed a great deal. You did quite well!

Re: Yet another leasing question. Seeking advice on numbers, etc.

Was quoted the following today:
Limited- msrp 40,580
$1000 down
$465.15 a month
Residual 22k'ish
Spoke to a few dealers and can't find anything close to the deal earlier in this thread

Any thoughts?

Not a bad deal but I think you can do better.. Did you try to negotiate it down? I would wait until the last few days of the month if you could then go back. Dealers always budge more to meet end of month quota and make room for more inventory. I did that and I believe it definitely helped. I would say with $1000 down, $425.00 sounds more like where you should be. Are you a returning lease customer at that dealership?

Agree I think it could be better. Even just using the build and price option on the jeep website shows a payment of 485 with 1000 down, and that's with no dealer discount. Gotta be at least a minimal cap cost reduction on their side, would bring it down to more of a 425-430 range I think.

Definitely negotiate. Express that you wish they could do better and that you are hoping to be in the $$ range. You can always walk away. Remember, they want your business. Don't settle, you're almost there.
