Gas?!?!? It's 2025 baaaaby! We don't need no stinkin' gas!

LOL... I dunno, with all the frac sand mining going on around here I wouldn't wager against that still being in your tank.

Meant 2025 as in your earlier post....now corrected.

In 11 years we'll be on batteries with electric motors - gas cars will become ECONOMICALLY obsolete. When you can go for just a few pennies a mile and electric cars cost the same as gas cars, gas cars will get converted or scrapped. Just a couple leaps in battery technology to bring down the cost and with rapid recharge or 1 minute swappable battery packs...say goodbye to the inefficient internal combustion engine for cars. There are many other uses for fossil fuels than running cars...so there will be a continuous need for it. Once the electric car cost crosses a certain level it'll be like vacuum tubes versus integrated circuits. it is the future.

Haha hardly! At this point anyway I'm used to hitting the eco button. I couldn't care less about the screen background. I don't watch my radio while I drive.

That 2025 JGC will probably be my next vehicle. So, I can't wait for that bidet option! I assume part of that will also have a waste storage system so with long-lasting batteries there's no need to stop on long trips!

Yeah, Popular Science magazine said the same thing back in the 70s. A gasoline-powered car would be unheard of by the next century. Well, we're about 15 years into that next century and gasoline-powered vehicles outsell electric vehicles by what, about 10,000:1?

Gasoline vehicles will continue to be sold in large numbers for the foreseeable future. The problem really boils down to battery technology and cost. We still need to see huge breakthroughs in battery technology to get a decent driving range at a decent cost before the masses will be willing to give up their gas cars for an electric. That just ain't gonna happen in the next 11 years for sure....

I think in 2025 electric cars will be right where they are today. I think its a technology that can only go so far. We will still be buying gas to feed our Hemi engines. This is just my opinion of course.
