I had a few over the years - my 2014 Overland is by far the best. Had my share of ups and downs with these rigs but overall not enough to push me to something else.

98 Grand Cherokee Laredo
99 Grand Cherokee Laredo

Re: your history with Jeep

2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4: Bought used in 2005 with 30k miles, totaled on icy bridge (would have maybe been worth fixing if it hadn't bent the frame). Wife still has fond memories of this car, as it was the one that made her fall in love with Jeep.
2012 Jeep Compass Sport 4x4: Bought new in 2012, but wife grew tired of it after only a couple years. Too small, engine too weak, lots of little things went wrong with it. Traded it in for...
2014 Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4: Bought slightly used in 2014 with approximately 36k miles. Still loving every minute, no issues yet.

In between the 2004 and 2012, we had a 2006 high-mileage Durango. At the time we were cash strapped, and that is all we could afford. Wife loved the AWD, but it was a rush purchase, and once I got a better job, we were able to trade it in. Tried to save money by doing a Compass in 2012, and you can see how that turned out.

Re: your history with Jeep

I guess you can consider me a "veteran" JGC owner...and I found exactly two photos of my original JGC Limited that were taken during the winter of 1992-1993, although I have no clue about what month the storm was nor what the model year was. It had a "taupe" colored leather interior.

That was a very nice ride, especially for the time, but I know for sure I like my current one much better!

Ha - at least I was able to locate a picture of it. This was taken in Hawaii where the Jeep was purchased. I remember my brother's concern about the engine overheating when we drove our cars (total of 3) from L.A. all across the country to Florida:

Here's my list...

95 Cherokee
97 Cherokee Sport
00 Cherokee Classic
02 Grand Cherokee
11 Grand Cherokee

I kept my 02 JGC until 2009 then stepped away from the Jeep brand. Then in 2011 they pulled me back in.

Re: your history with Jeep

My first Jeep was a 07 Jeep Commander 4.7 Limited. Nice vehicle but once the WK2 came along I had to have one.
My second Jeep a 2011 WK2 Limited V6. My third Jeep is my 2014 WK2 limited with a HEMI. I also bought a 2009 Jeep Patriot for my son last December. We'll see what the future holds but I love the utility of the Jeep. I'm in New England and we are getting snow by the foot this year. Needless to say I thank the powers above every time I get in it knowing I'm safe and able to get where I'm going.
