2002 jeep grand cherokee. manifold leak

I believe I have manifold leak. Put new glass pack on and sounds good other then exhaust like tick coming from near downpipe. Anyone ever changed one or have any tips to help me out??

Which engine?
If a 4.0, they are infamous for exhaust manifold leaks.
There is an upgraded manifold available with what looks like accordion folds, but it frankly isn't really better. If you have a 4.0 [which is a good idea to note in your profile] get a header. Pick one, any one, they are all better than the mopar manifolds--although some will require larger injectors to keep from running lean.

If some other engine, details would help.

It's the 4.7 high output. Idk what other information would help. I had the exhaust checked from downpipe back and they said it had to be manifold but would cost alot so wanted to do myself
