2004 Jeep GC V8 Bolt Sizes

Hi guys,

I have searched around and can only find the head size (8mm) of the transmission pan and valve body bolts. What pitch and size are the actual bolts? I would like to buy a few replacements before I get in to replace my solenoid pack. I've heard horror stories of heads breaking.

Thanks,

Best would be to use a torque wrench to prevent the bolts from breaking. No idea on the bolt sizes though.
Do you already have a new solenoid pack? If not, then you can get OEM transmission parts for a good price at: Automotive Transmission Electronics Specialists

Re: 2004 Jeep GC V8 Bolt Sizes

Just to put the information out there for anyone who might want to know the bolt or screw size of the transmission pan and valve body for a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with 5-45RFE tranmissions. They are both 6mm with 8mm flange heads. The pan screws are .5 inch long while the valve body screws are 1 inch long. I was able to find 6mm with 10mm flange heads as replacements and they worked. If you can not find the flange head type screws, you can use a washer.
