2005 4.7L Jeep Grand Cherokee Fan Clutch

I have removed my Fan clutch assembly from my water pump and have my water pump. I am wondering if I need to re-install the fan clutch because I do have a radiator fan. Will it hurt not to replace it and make my engine run hotter or will it make it run better..ie increase hp?

Re: 2005 4.7L Jeep Grand Cherokee Fan Clutch

Your electric fan only kicks in when the temp sensor hits 190F or when the A/C is ON. Without the baseline cooling of the steel fan the electric fan will be going on/off frequently and the average temp of your coolant will be in that 190-200F range.
