Question 2007 Grand Cherokee Overland REC Update

Hello all. I know I shouldve looked into this earlier, but I am just about to go on a trip with a few POIs needed in the itinerary. I saw where some people have upgraded their REC NAV system, and I am generally confused about the entire process. I understand that there are different versions, such as AG and AF, but I dont know if it matters which one I use in my vehicle. Also, actually performing the upgrade-im confused as to whether or not I have to apply the In motion patch before I do any upgrades or what not? Not sure if it's relevant, but my current Application Version is "02.05.10" and my database version is "05.0503.00.072506.0003". Also, my current disc ends in AE. I would extremely appreciate your help, if you don't mind, at your earliest convenience! Also, If you could direct me to any appropriate threads, most of them have outdated download and torrent links, however, which is why I decided to post a new one!

Re: 2007 Grand Cherokee Overland REC Update

Hey - the in motion patch will bypass the "nag" (warning) screen. So you'll apply that if you want to bypass warning when bringing your NAV up on the REC radio while driving.

I'd have to look at some old phone camera photo rolls to see what version I left off on before I replaced my REC system with a Sony. So I can't help you on what version is latest, and what you should apply. I was generally frustrated with the lack of data from the navigation as compared to my phone (waze), and also the lack of bluetooth music streaming. So I ditched the REC system in favor of a newer deck. I retained all my steering wheel controls and am generally happy with the switch.
