4X4 Service and Cost?

Does anyone recall at what mileage they did their 4X4 service to change the front and rear differential fluid? The dealer mentioned to me that it's 30,000 Miles and cost about $400 dollars. So after I put my eyes back in my head I said "oh ok thanks" lol. Just wondering what all needs to be done in the service and if I should consider just going to a shop or doing it myself. Thanks!

Do it yourself, and if your not comfortable doing it I know someone that will do it on the side for you. Its pretty simple, I did it on my 08 SRT. With my 14 I might have the dealer do it so if I ever have an issue down the line they cant blame it on me.

That's what I was thinking.. Simple as draining and filling with the correct fluid.. Can't see how it can be 400 bucks!

Yes, they use only pure merino wool shop rags and platinum plated, depleted uranium titanium alloy tools when they do it.
Or, they just grab your wallet and empty it because they can.
