97 5.2L 318 V8 piston difference Left and right

For my 97 Jeep ZJ 5.2L 318 V8, the OEM parts manual shows the piston sizes as B, C, D and separate part numbers for the left and right piston banks. 1-3-5-7 and 2-4-6-8. On each side the oil weep holes face inward and the pistons are marked to face forward. Some where on the Internet I saw comments about swapping pistons side to side by turning the piston and rod to face the rear so the oil hole is on the inside. Wonder if I can swap for a better fit.
