Trying to finish the joyful job of replacing the front driver's side CV boot and wheel hub on my 2000 WJ 4.7/4x4. (The heavens rejoiced when I finally found a shop that stocks and sells the banding tool for the stinkin' boot clamps -- shout out NAPA!)
I've completed everything thusfar and am ready to reinstall the axle. My question is: what is the best way to clean out the axle tube without having to crack open the front diff? I certainly don't want to push any contaminants into the diff, but I'd like to avoid the added time and expense of cracking the diff open (and having to replace the fluid, gasket, etc.).
Thanks in advance!
