Can't disable parksense brake when towing

Hi,

I have a 2015 Grand Cherokee limited and bought it and the dealer installed the tow hitch and lights using factory parts. Now, I have attached a hitch haul on it, which worked fine backing up, until we loaded it up.

Now, when we put it in reverse, the parksense braking is activated. We have tried pushing the p off (parksense off) buttons on the centerrace console and it will light for five seconds and then re-activate. We have also tried going into control -> settings and deselect rear parksense braking assist, which is unchecked for one second and then automatically recheck. All of the parksense options do this. We've tried all this while parked, in reverse, and on drive with same results.

Called dealer, no help, we need to bring it in. However, going on roadtrip, so we will just have you make sure we find pull through spots until we can figure this out!

Any ideas?

Re: Can't disable parksense brake when towing

This is definitely your dealers issue, so don't allow him to get off the hook.....

If your Jeep didn't come with the factory tow package and he installed the equipment, this is HIS problem not yours.

Threaten to kick it up to FCA customer care, who should contact the local FCA Zone office.
