Re: DIY plastidip your emblems.

Does anyone have a good trick for removing the Plasti-Dip from the small areas like inside the "e"? I was thinking about putting something small in there, like fishing line, so I have something to grab on to...

I though about masking it, but I just left it and it's barely noticeable with the black... Maybe if you're super careful you could get a needle and hook an edge from within the hole..

Oh yeah, I hadn't watched that video since it was first put up, I forgot it was there. I just used a small plastic screwdriver, a toothpick would've been better lol

Re: DIY plastidip your emblems.

quick question before i go out to do mine

i was just gonna use a news paper or something and cut a rectangular piece out
but arent u supposed to take the tape off while the plasti-dip is still wet?
or does it matter?
if so, how do u do 3-4 coats?

You can remove the tape while it's wet or dry. Just be sure everything is VERY dry before you start to peel up the Plasti-Dip

Re: DIY plastidip your emblems.

Leave the tape until dry then when you peal tape it will pull an edge for you to start pealing the rest otherwise you have to try and ball up and edge with your finger to start pealing from.. make sense?

TOOTHPICKs are your friend.. :-)
