Do you post on craigslist?
Easy: I don't do kitchens for anyone other than good friends
But in my line of work (embedded systems), I get new clients by doing an awesome job with prior clients. One piece of which is understanding that blaming the client when things go wrong doesn't help anybody. Recent experience with friends/neighbors who have had kitchen remodels done shows that is not the way that industry works.
