exhaust help

So im in the garage today preparing to install my new exhaust and im faced with a huge problem, I cant get the stock exhaust off. I removed the hangers from both rear outlets, I removed the two hangers from up where the exhaust connects, and I removed the 4 spring nuts from the two pipes. I tried several times to pull off the exhaust, and while I got maybe an inch of separation between the two pipes up front, I couldnt get the exhaust off for some reason. Is there a connection I am missing somewhere that isnt allowing me to pull off the exhaust?
