its very difficult to fill the letters becasue the bondo will shrink over time and you will see the letters.....
all these guys you see with shaved moldings have purchased teh 07+ laredo moldings and sanding the lettering off and then painted them. Thats the best way to go about it
Well then what would be the best way of roughing up the letters on the inside? I have an 07 but the letters go in not out. Would a steel brush be enough to scuff the paint to adhear to?
I filled mine with bondo and let them sit overnight, sanded them down flush with the trim panel and then used a filing primer. I did a few coats over the whole trim peace, light wet sanding then used the color I wanted. I really was not that bad. The only problem I have had is remounting them, they don't sit as tight to the door panel as they did.
YEah Shaved Jeep Looks Best espacialy when your at a gas station and people ask what kind of SUV is that?? lol or better yet when you are on Sunset BLVD in Hollywood and a RIch guys pulls up and ask what kind of Jeep is that lol ahh Priceless
