I6 4l oil pan removal

I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee and the oil pan has rusted and seeping oil through. Is it a big hassle to change the oil pan, does the sump get in the way of removal of old pan? Would appreciate any info.
Thanks, Brett

Re: I6 4l oil pan removal

Only changed the pan on my 4.7, but that was quite a pain to get the pan loose from the seal.
Attached the procedure for the 4.0
