Re: Little Help With My CAI

I had a K&N on my Nissan Armada. When first installed the filter onto the filter seat I set it past the filter seat too far and air was by passing the filter and it was taking air between the filter and the filter seat, making it way too load. I had to make sure it was on the seat properly, very snug, so there was no bypass of air between the filter and the filter seat before tightening down the tightening band. Once I was careful that it was seated properly I tightened down the band and it made all the difference in the world. Besides the noise reduction I was sure that the filter was doing it's designed function, clean air. Hopefully your problem is the same. There is a very narrow area that the filter seats to.
