My 2008 grand Cherokee has a very low idle doesn't stall tho ... Also how do I go about getting a few more hp without breaking the bank?

Low idle isnt a bad thing.. mine sits at about 600 with my hemi being real healthy. It starts at about 900 and drops after a minute or so to 600.

So what's your idle at and what engine do you have since that will dictate what you can do. Also whats breaking the bank? Most go for an exhaust system and a cai but those do offer a little performance but more sound than anything. A tuner will be most bang for your buck i think but given your engine will again dictate what you can shop for.

How low we talking. My v6 when stock would idle at 525. I got it bumped to 750. The 5.7 should be between 550 and 600

Idle speed doesnt dictate the mods you can do. But there are mods thats effect idle speed such as cams and forced induction. Some of which needs an elevated idle speed.

If its idling too low id look into a fualt somewhere. Have it scanned for intermittent codes as they wont throw a light most of the time. If you have the hemi or gen 1 3/4.7 magnum you may need to clean the iac and throttle body

I know bro, but you did a good job giving a few starter mod ideas so i left it alone. I dont know what engine he has and cant realy be of much help on specific mods unless i know the motor hes got.
