Running 40s, help?

I'd like to run 40s on my 2000 TJ sport (I know I need new gears and drive shafts) but, does anyone know what size lift I would need? I'm looking at a 6" with Metal Cloak fenders, but I'd like help so I don't mess up, and also, any suggestions on gear sizes? Thanks

If you do a Google search a chart with suggested gearing based on tire size figuring a 1:1 transmission gear (in my cj it was fourth) at 65 mph and in autos it tells u a basic calculation to get close.
That's how I picked the gears I needed. (4.56 with 35's ...for now)
