Wink Safe jack points 4 my '14 G Cherokee

I was underneath the truck looking to lift it with a floor jack and decided to check first. There isn't anything in the manual except for the standard spare tire jack. (Where not to lift the truck would be good to know also) Thanks.

The jack points are marked on the side of the body, and as you note, presume you are using the std spare jack. The rear one is a bit easier as there is a socket/slot that the top of the spare jack fits into. The front one has a slot in the spare jack that straddles a body join.

Pick up a couple hockey pucks... cut a slot in one for the front jack point. Or, you could buy a piece of square steel pipe and cut a slot, but the pipe needs to be thicker than HomeDepot, etc. tend to carry.

I can't imagine what harm there would be on the rear jack points, but being nuts, I ground the top of another hockey puck down so it would fit there.

Then on the back of the hockey pucks, i just put some recesses in them so they would stay in place on the floor jack.

There are several threads here on doing this for non-jeep jacks and hockey pucks. Easy if you have a Dremel for the rear, the front could be done with a hack saw.

I was looking for where to lift the truck using a floor jack. Are there any other locations other than the crimp weld I can use a floor jack to lift the truck? By the way I order these so I can use the recommended locations without damaging the crimp weld.

I suspect you could probably use a number of different items, other than suspension bits, differential case, etc. with no risk.

In the rear, your floor jack might just fit the jack point, although I prefer a hunk of hardwood or nylon, etc. between the jack's cup and any of my vehicles.

In the front, unless you have good reason to not use the jack point, just use your adapter and the official jack point.

Why not use the frame?

Too many mods to list for each, so let's just say a lot was done over the years.
