The jack points are marked on the side of the body, and as you note, presume you are using the std spare jack. The rear one is a bit easier as there is a socket/slot that the top of the spare jack fits into. The front one has a slot in the spare jack that straddles a body join.
Pick up a couple hockey pucks... cut a slot in one for the front jack point. Or, you could buy a piece of square steel pipe and cut a slot, but the pipe needs to be thicker than HomeDepot, etc. tend to carry.
I can't imagine what harm there would be on the rear jack points, but being nuts, I ground the top of another hockey puck down so it would fit there.
Then on the back of the hockey pucks, i just put some recesses in them so they would stay in place on the floor jack.
There are several threads here on doing this for non-jeep jacks and hockey pucks. Easy if you have a Dremel for the rear, the front could be done with a hack saw.
