Samsung Galaxy S4

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
with Uconnect 8.4AN AM/FM/BT/NAV

The Messaging button is greyed out and incoming text are not being read aloud when Samsung Galaxy S4 phone is paired to the Uconnect.

Work around solution to get the messaging button to work:
Just download the fitbit app on your phone
Fitbit App Gallery

The fitbit app contains the technology that will allow both devices to communicate and allow the messaging button to work in your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S4

Which fitbit app did you install? I'm assuming its not designed to make the messaging work but does?

I just read on here that if you delete your messages to less than 25 it will work, so I deleted all my messages and now it reads my messages no problem

Not so!
I just checked on my Uconnect and I have well over 100 text messages in which it reads with no problem

Yeah you're right it worked for a bit when I deleted the texts but not anymore...so I'm a little confused how does that fitbit app help? When I checked it out looks like an app to track youre eating, I'm a bit lost on this subject
