Re: WK2 Radar Detector - Mirror Power Tap

Argh.. so I got the contacts in but get no power when starting it up. Red -> Pink/Yellow, Black -> Black. This is a 2015 Altitude but I would expect the harness is the same. Did anyone use a different combo of wires? I can't find my volt meter.

Edit: Disregard. I found that the two wires had a bare connection between them and believe it blew the internal fuse on the mirror tap. This is what happens when you buy ebay crap. I ordered the real deal and will try again next week.

BTW here's a coupon code for 12.5% off blendmount if anyone is looking to order. http://blendmount.refr.cc/7XDKWDQ

Re: WK2 Radar Detector - Mirror Power Tap

Does anyone know if the 2015 SRT mirror is different on how to attach the mirror back on? There is no way you can put the mirror back up and turn the whole assembly counterclockwise due to one of the sensors in there. When I removed it, I pulled from the back and the mirror and cover assembly came off as one piece. Reinstalling it has proven impossible. Any help would be appreciated!

EDIT.... All plastic covers must be removed if mirror assemble came off from windshield. Got it back on after dismantling the covers.

Scctt, when I pulled the mirror assembly off, everything came off the windshield in one piece. So being able to access the connector at that point, I was able to install the invisicord, but reinstalation of the entire mirror assembly was not possible until you take the plastic cover pieces off from the rear view mirror assembly.

OK where is the fuse, I have done the same thing I think. My sunroof switches dont work nor does the asssit button or the 911 button. And I cant get the connector to unplug to make sure it is seated properly. 2015 GC Summit

Re: WK2 Radar Detector - Mirror Power Tap

Thanks All
With some hard work and back twisting I got this installed on a 2014 Jeep GC SRT with Blendmount (I had to remove the blendmount to get everyone back together)
The whole mirror assembly kept on popping off when I tried to wiggle the large cover back on (which required to disconnect all the cables to twist that back on)
So yes, whack it straight on with your hand!
