I'm hoping someone can give me advice regarding a rattling noise that appears to be coming from behind the dash on the driver's side. Mostly the rattling noise seems like it is plastic on plastic but occasionally there is a metal squeak noise as well.
No I haven't found the cause of the rattle yet. I sat in the customer's lounge for 6 hours and the Techs there apparently couldn't find it either. It seems to happen much more when it's warmer out. When it's really cold I can't hear the rattle. I haven't given up but I'm angry at the fact they couldn't fix it at the dealer.
I heard it as well yesterday and today my ac blower stopped working. I have. 2015 altitude so it's under warranty but unfortunately I can't be seen by dealer until feb 11. I need to call more dealers in the area. Btw, I'm in Houston and it was about 65 degrees today
Haven't pinpointed it yet but I think it is the dash pad connection point/ clips near the bottom of the windshield. It started again about a month ago with the temp drop here in jersey. I might wedge a thin piece of electrical tape in between to see if that helps. I've been working on my passenger side door cup holder LED that was out. The dealer ordered a new one said that the old one was missing. I took the panel off and there it was lit up and working, it fell out of its holder which is a bad design. I popped it back in and now it back to normal.
