Chrysler recall affects half of its 2011 models
Chrysler Group LLC
said Thursday it will recall 11,351 vehicles — covering more than half of its 2011 models — because some have a missing or incorrectly installed steering column pivot rivet that could affect steering in a crash. The recall covers the Dodge Journey, Jeep Wrangler, Chrysler 200 and 200 convertible, Dodge Avenger, Dodge Nitro, Jeep Liberty, Dodge Caliber, Jeep Compass, Jeep Patriot, Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country. All were built between mid-April and mid-May at Chrysler's plant in Perrysburg, Ohio.
