'01 Grand Cherokee Coolant Leak

4.0 6 cyl.
Engine overheated the other day and checked the coolant and it was bone dry.. Filled it up with 50/50 and it took about a jug and a half to fill up the radiator and the tank. I noticed a small anti freeze leak under it before I ever filled it up so I knew it was leaking. So after I filled it up it never really leaked until I cranked it. And when it's cranked looking from to bottom up you can see it leaking pretty good. I'm guessing that the water pump needs to be replaced? Any tricks of the trade to figure out if that's the for sure problem? And help and opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jackson90
