02 jeep liberty wont turn on

So my jeep turns on and its drivable but after i turn it off it wont start i have to wait couple minutes. … The first time it happen I thought it was the battery so I changed it. It still did it after that. I drove it 7 hrs straight and stopped couple Of times and turn on perfectly, but it started again a mechanic looked at it and he put a new starter and it was working good but after 3 days pass it start to do the same thing! Any idea what could be??

Re: 02 jeep liberty wont turn on

Just to be sure what you mean, it doesn´t start, or it doesn´t crank at all?
That they changed the starter i may believe that it doesn´t crank. Could be the starter relay, could be the ignition switch and could be the park/Neutral switch in the transmission. Next time when it doesn´t want to crank, move the gear lever from Park to Neutral and try again. This will act on the Park/Neutral switch and could help in case of a not properly adjusted switch.
If this doesn´t help you will need to measure with a multimeter to see where the problem is, but you will need a wiring diagram for that.
