I checked a few online diagrams to find out where the fuel pressure regulator is located and they said on the gas rail near the front of the engine. I checked and it isn't there. Anyone else know where the regulator is located on a '95 Cherokee?
Should be sticking off the front of the rail.
I believe on the 96+ models it was located in the fuel pump assembly, so maybe if your pump was ever replaced they just got one of those? (That is pure speculation on my part, but if it's missing from the fuel rail, maybe that's where it went?)
You may want to try gently cleaning your IAC valve though to solve the issue, what one might think is a lack of fuel could also be a lack of air :-)
