05 Grand Cherokee Passenger Side Leak

Hi guys,

I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7L and after some heavy rain the other night I noticed that the front passenger side floor board was soaked. I wasn't convinced it was fully the rain since I had also just started using my A/C the other day as well.

To test I turned on the A/C full blast for about 8 min and I didn't notice any dampness on the floor. Next I poured a cup of water over the front windshield and sure enough I could notice that the passenger side floor was wet. It seems that the water is originating near the front passenger seat foot closest to the door. I checked the surrounding carpet and it just gets dry the further I feel away from near the foot of the seat.

Any advice on what to clean out or look at? Thanks in advanced for the help!

Re: 05 Grand Cherokee Passenger Side Leak

If water is coming in after you poured a cup of water on the windshield you should have the windshield resealed or get an even better job, have the windshield removed, check for rust in the opening, reseal the windshield.

Also, you are referring to the windshield and not the door window?
