06 commander window controlls no workin

couple of weeks ago, the drivers door window and lock controls quit working for the front 2 doors and windows. All the other window controls work on their respective doors. And on the drivers door you can control the 2 rear windows, but thats it. I bought a new switch bank from a wrecked commander, but no dice... plugged it in, and its the exact same problem. What gives?

Well, Turns out its a normal jeep thing. Pulled the boot on the found 2 broken wires. Pulled the whole wiring harness, and soldered and shrinkwrapped and taped the 2 wires. Hopefully it beefed them up enough to take it. It doesn't appear to be an overly constricted area like you would think, but still I guess its rough on it. Put it all back together, and presto... fixed!

Nice fix! I've had to do exactly that on a few door wires on both of my ZJs.

Count yourself lucky though, I recently had to redo every single wire on my girlfriend's Honda drive door, ended up being somewhere around fifty solder points! (2 for each wire) That was a nightmare, especially considering its such an awkward place to use a soldering iron.
