2002 Jeep GCL--self codes??

Ive seen several posts about the CEL and the significance of how many times it blinks...and I've seen some comments on using the key to get diagnosis codes. Sad to say, I drive it but don't do any of the work on it! Nonetheless I like to know when something is wrong, and what it is....so HOW do either of the above mentioned functions work, and is it something I can do on my 2002???

Re: 2002 Jeep GCL--self codes??

Yes, the so called key dance should work on your jeep. Switch the ignition three times from off to on and leave it in on after the third time; the odometer should show "DONE" when no faults present, or the fault codde(s). You can ask on here what an eventual fault code means and what should be done, or just google it.
