Welcome to the garage. Did you already try a battery disconnect for some minutes and try again?

Re: 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee solid security light no start

Thank you, yes I've tried disconnecting the battery, I tried disconnecting the ecu harnesses also and then reconnecting this is a common problem on Chrysler , Jeep, Dodge products I surfed the Internet and many people are complaining but no definitive fix as of yet.

Re: 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee solid security light no start

So the jeep doesn´t run at the moment? It will never start? The solid light means that there is a failure in the SKIS system. That can mean several things and using a DRBIII scanner is probably the easiest way to discover what is failing. Besides a failing component, it could also be due to a shorted PCI data bus. You could measure the voltage on the diagnostic plug under the dash at the drivers side, pin #2 or you could try the key dance: ignition switch off/run three times and leave in run at the third time. With a shorted data bus, the PCM will not show any information on the odometer. If not shorted, it will show DONE when the PCM doesn´t have any faults, or a fault code(s). These eventual codes have nothing to do with the SKIS problem you have, this test is only to see if the data bus works.

Data bus gives no reading doing the key dance and diagnostic tool returns no communication, all fuses good in the vehicle.

Re: 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee solid security light no start

So that means that the PCI bus is down, or due to a short, or due to a faulty component which pulls the data bus voltage up.
You need a volt meter and check the voltage on pin 2 of the data connector. If its 0V, the bus is shorted, if its around 7.5V, then some component is causing the bus voltage to pull up. Normal voltage should be around the 2V.
After this check we can see further.

Did you measure on pin 2 of the data connector?
