2004 jeep grand cherokee wont start in cold

OK I have a straight 6 in my 04 and we have changed all the 02 sensors that caused engine light to come on I have also changed plugs and a tune up as well as new fuel filter. However when I try to start the truck the only way to get it is give it gas and then it idles really rough and lights dim in and out. No not the battery because It's new. Any thoughts?

Re: 2004 jeep grand cherokee wont start in cold

Welcome to the garage.
Did you check the battery voltage with engine off and on? Looks as an alternator problem. The voltage should be 12.7V engine off ( fully charged battery half hour after engine shuttdown) and 13.5-14.5 V with engine running.

Re: 2004 jeep grand cherokee wont start in cold

Seeing now that the header says "won't start when cold". Does it start normal when hot?
